Hello to all,
there is a new Beta of AIM (AOL Instant Messenger )out which is a lot better than previous versions in terms of what it offers - AIM 7.0.
However, this release does not work with the latest JAWS 10 release.
Has anyone ever used aim 7.0, and if so, how was screen reader accessibility with the product? Personally I don't know any JAWS scripting - but has anyone ever tinckered around with trying to make this AIM release accessible? The windows of the new beta do not look vastly different from previous AIM versions...
Tomi, do you still know if they're still using the Boxlie-style engin? It has something to do with rendering the content. I heard it's supposed to use less load on the PC.
nope, AIM does not use tridant anymore, though the interface is similar, there is a different engine involved in handling the user interface/application.
